These are our rankings of the top tier 1 boys programs in connecticut that are truly a tier 1 experience and in our opinion are worth travelling for. Programs not on this list we believe are not worth travelling for. You are better off playing on the team most local to you if you’re not on one of these teams.
CT Tier 1 Boys Programs Worth the Hype
#1)
Mid-Fairfield Youth Hockey
With countless, NHL and NCAA alumni, MFYHA is the gold standard of tier 1 youth hockey in Connecticut. Their Tier 1 teams are highly selective. If you can make their team you will get top level coaching, exposure and development.

Hartford Jr Wolfpack
This organization has been on the rise across all age levels and offers high level Tier 1 hockey for kids in the Hartford area.
#3)
Connecticut Jr Rangers
Though they are second fiddle to Mid Fairfield they still field competitive, high level Tier 1 teams across all ages.
#4)
Yale Jr Bulldogs
Another solid option for Tier 1 hockey in Connecticut. They have a very experienced staff that has played and coached high levels of hockey for many years.
